Obtaining his M.D. degree from Osaka University School of Medicine in 1981 and Ph.D degree in 1985, Masafumi Kitakaze is currently the director of Cardiovascular Division of Medicine in National Cardiovascular Center , Vice President of Clinical Reserch Center and National Cardiovascular Center. He is a professor of Cardiovascular Department of Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine and visiting professor of both Tottori University Graduate School of Medicine and Fourth Military Medical University. He is also a fellow of many professional societies such as the Japanese Circulation Society, the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, American College of Cardiology, the Japanese Heart Failure Society, etc. He serves on the Editorial Board for many International Journals such as International Journal of Gerontology and Circulation.He is also invited reviewer for International Journals such as Journal of Heart Failure, European Journal of Pharmacology, et al. He is often invited to give lectures at national and international symposium.He has contributed hundreds of original articals, review articals and case reports both in japanese and english. |

Hisayoshi Suma obtained Ph.D. degree in October 1988 from Osaka Medical College. He has been supervisor of the Cardiovascular Institute since 2005.Currently he is a visiting professor of Juntendo University and clinical professor of Kyoto University. He is also a member of American Association for Thoracic Surgery, European Association for Cardio-thoracic Surgery and International Society for Cardiovascular Surgery.

Obtained his M.D. degree from Kyoto University in 1953,Chuichi Kawai is a consultant of Takeda General Hospital. He is a honorary member of Japanese Circulation Society, Japanese Society of Geriatric Medicine and Japanese Society of Nephrology. He is also a fellow of American College of Cardiology and American College of Chest Physicians. He is an Expert Committee Member of World Health Organization (WHO).
